Who am I?
Outside of school, most of my free time goes into modifying ICE cars, whether it’s ECU remapping, custom fabrication, or just seeing how far I can safely push a platform. I’ve been taking things apart to see how they work for as long as I can remember, from RC cars and Xboxes to full-size vehicles, and I’m constantly spinning up niche projects that are tailored to whatever I’m curious about at the moment. Choosing engineering felt natural because building and improving things has never been a hobby for me. It’s the way I see the world and how I want to make a positive impact.
I also care a lot about using that drive to support others. Back in November 2016, when I was in early high school, I founded a non-profit organisation focused on helping the less fortunate in my community. Since then, with the help of countless volunteers, we donated over 1,000 shoes and socks, many of them to people living on East Hastings Street in Vancouver. That experience continues to shape how I think about responsibility, impact, and the kind of engineer I want to become.
