Razer Blade 15 Advanced RZ09-0409X Cooler

Passive Cooler

I built a passive laptop cooler for my Razer that physically separates the intake and exhaust airflow, because I noticed the laptop was basically breathing in its own hot air. The stock design lets the hot exhaust spill out and mix right near the intake vents, so the fans end up pulling in air that’s already been heated, which raises internal temps and forces the fans to work harder.

My cooler acts like a simple airflow manager: it lifts the laptop, gives the intakes a cleaner path to cooler ambient air, and channels the exhaust away so it can’t recirculate underneath the chassis. Even without any extra fans, just improving this separation and natural convection gave me temperature drops of up to ~10 °C, which is huge for a purely passive setup.

Next iteration of this design involves implementing an extended battery hotswappable within the cooler itself, as battery life is not ideal
